NOORDERZON FESTIVAL IN GRONINGEN!
Don’t miss the opportunity to go to the Noorderzon festival this summer! It will be taking place from the 20th to the 30th of August. But what is this festival about? Noorderzon Performing Arts Festival will take place in the lovely and lively city of Groningen. This festival is somewhat of a curious combination of a cutting edge international arts festival of seriously exciting contemporary arts from all over the world!
Not to mention there will be a pretty big summer party in the awesome Noorderzon park. For those of you who may be skeptical about traveling just a bit by train to reach the city or may have never even stepped in this gorgeous little northern town, prepare yourself to be surprised. Not only is Groningen an incredibly dynamic student city, but it also has the honour of hosting the awesome Noorderzon festival!
The Noorderzon is an international artistic event that attracts over 125,000 visitors a year. For eleven days you can experience theatre international forefront of really high quality. There will be more than eighty performances by groups and companies, both national and international which will compose a special program that has great potential to both surprise and entertain you. Every year the festival Noorderzon offers the chance to see dozens of national and international artists who perform in various disciplines in various creative and innovative artistic projects. You can attend concerts with a wide variety of music, theatre, exclusive photography exhibitions, dance performances and even literary events… For such a small town as Groningen, there will certainly be a lot going on!
Noorderzon festival always reaches its objective of offering audiences an incredibly diverse theatre experience while showcasing a dynamic, and interesting crossover of international spirit. The festival is held in August and lasts eleven days. If you arrive in Groningen by train, from the station to the festival area it will be less than a ten minutes walk.
