Studio Noir + Modefabriek

Studio Noir are stylist Maaike Staal, and photographers Hanneke van Leeuwen, Nancy Schoenmakers, Nicky Onderwater and Ninette Schostack. Currently exhibiting a project at Droog as a part of Salon/2. Studio Noir is also invited to show some of their best work at the Modefabriek for this summer’s edition. When you visit the Modefabriek you can catch them in action doing a live photoshoot featuring the designs of graduates and “Next & Cutting Edge” on July 17 and 18.




True to tradition, Modefabriek offers a number of recent graduates an opportunity for presenting their fashion designs to fashion professionals during each summer edition. The shwo is curated by Carlo Wijnands, fashion consultant and programm director of the Amsterdam International Fashion Week. Seven leading fashion institutes in the Netherlands are represented: AMFI (Amsterdam), ARTEZ (Arnhem), Gerrit Rietveld Academy (Amsterdam), School of Arts (Utrecht), Royal Academy (The Hague), Willem de Kooning Academy (Rotterdam) and Hogeschool Zuyd (Maastricht).

 

Next & Cutting Edge

To great satisfaction of enthousiasts for Avantgarde fashion, sixteen international talents are given a centre platform and runway show called ‘Next & Cutting Edge’. The Next & Cutting Edge Edge runway show is scheduled for 12 pm on Monday, 18 July.

‘Next’ are those international fashion labels with distinctive individuality. All graduates from prominent fashion institutes with professional attitude. Participating designers: Thu Thu (DE), twenty (2) too (RO), Roparosa (NL), El Colmillo de Morsa (ES), Roya Hesam (NL), Starstyling (DE), Bravoure (NL), Laura Theiss (UK).

‘Cutting Edge’ has been dedicated to Avantgarde design with a focus on creativity intwined with experimentation. Cutting Edge is Modefabriek’s magnet to a progressive audience of stylists, fashion journalists, fashion bloggers and other creative professionals. Participating designers: Julie Eilenberger (UK), uncommon Creatures (DK), Maryam Kordbacheh (NL), Raun Larose (US), Patrick Mohr (DE), Ankur Gupta (ID), Angelo van Mol (BE).
