Some/Things Magazine

SOME/THINGS is a multidisciplinary creative agency founded by photographer and trained art historian, Monika Bielskyte. It offers an unprecedented promotional platform for cutting edge fashion designers and artists and publishes the worldwide celebrated limited edition revue of the same name.

Each issue is considered a collectors item in its own right and bolts a range of a-list contributors from the fields of photography, art and fashion as well as science and culture by extension.

The revue has a cult following among the international fashion elite…including the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Rick Owens, Haider Ackermann, Martin Margiela and Helmut Lang. SOME/THINGS retails at 60 Euro a piece and is stocked at the most exclusive locations worldwide, including: Colette and L’Eclaireur in Paris; 10 Corso Como and Antonioli in Milan, Tate Modern in London, Gagosian Gallery in New York and SPRMRKT in Amsterdam…to name a few.

The next issue of SOME/THINGS Magazine CHAPTER005 / SHE HAS NO STRINGS APOLLO will launch on September 30; coinciding with the kick start of Paris Fashion Week S/S 12. As always, it promises to feature an opus of bewildering editorial and photographic content as well as one off creations that include (among many others) a jewelry piece designed exclusively for the occasion by the cardinal of “Haute Joaillerie” Bernard Delettrez.

CHAPTER005 features inspiration for Rick Ownes’ unreleased perfume & will come wrapped in scented Rick Ownes cashmere — an exclusive, yet ephemeral, worldwide avant-première. Carol Christian Poell’s installation ‘Squartter’, a first-ever interview with Paul Harnden, accompanied by stills from his super-8 short film -co-produced by SOME/THINGS AGENCY- and a 30 page editorial shot in the Palais de Behague, one of the most spectacular hôtel particulier in Paris, featuring Haider Ackermann, Riccardo Tisci, Elie Saab, Bernard Delettrez and Vintage Revillon with personal items from Michele Lamy and Gareth Pugh.

More so, a curated selection of works & extensive conversation with rarely interviewed artist Mona Hatoum; works from Naoya Hatakeyama to coincide with an upcoming exhibition at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, portraiture from Pierre Gonnord of marginalized Spanish people & a collaboration with the Musée Gustave Moreau in Paris.

CHAPTER005’s line up also includes talents such as Theo Angelopoulos, Michael Nyman, Carol Christian Poell, Steve McCurry, and a selection of the world’s most exquisite minerals from the Giazotto collection.

SOME/THINGS Creative Director Monika Bielskyte states “this edition focuses on the earth, its surface & the transformation of matter— traveling through time & culture.”
