Tweeting birds
Although this is a relatively old project, it has recently resurfaced in the blogosphere and I could not resist sharing it with you.. Voldemars Dudums, an artist from Latvia, thought it was time to give Twitter back to the birds and decided to attach cubes of pork fat to the keys of an old computer keyboard. As the birds fed they pressed the keys, and an api tweeted this via @hungry_birds. The bacon keyboard was visited regularly by the hungry birds, who tweeted around 100 times a day. Dudums even installed a camera so the tweeting birds could even be viewed in real time. Great project!
