No, this is not a Laduree macaroon chair but quite a special product from interior designers Marjan Van Aubel and James Shaw, entitled Well Proven Chair. Although the idea of a chair made out of macaroons seems very appealing to me, this project has a bit of a better cause than satisfying my sweet tooth. Generally most furniture factories have a huge amount of timber waste, about 50 to 80 percent during manufacturing. This waste usually ends up in the dump, but Marjan en James collaborated with a factory to actually turn this waste into lush foamy chairs. Check out the video to see how they are actually made.
