Solar Weekend Festival goes international
After eight successful editions at the Maasplassen in Roermond, Dutch festival Solar Weekend has decided to expand its horizons. This summer, the creative multiday festival branches out to Norway and Ibiza.Solar Weekend Festival is a creative crossover festival and offers diverse music, theatre, interactive installations and contemporary art by both national and international creative minds. This year, the Dutch counterpart will take place from 2nd until 4th August at the Maasplassen in Roermond and will feature an exchange program with the Berlin creative collective Fayst.
The festival welcomes 25,000 visitors a day, who are treated to a journey of exploration with live music and DJs, a hippie market, games, special catering, interactive theatre shows, fortune tellers, graffiti art, installations and much more. The holiday experience is reinforced by having two complete days and three magical nights at the Solar beach camping.
Solar Weekend Festival Norway
The success of Solar Weekend has allowed the festival to create two counterparts abroad. From 5th until 7th July, the Norway festival will take place on a beautiful island near the city centre of Oslo. Creativity and diverse music genres are the key words for this festival as well and will also have a camping near the beach. Norwegian and international artists will bring electronic music, hip-hop, reggae, jazz, R&B, and disco influences. The creative concepts are already coming in at large numbers. The tickets are on sale from the end of March at an early bird price offering 2 tickets for the price of 1 (€60). For more information, visit facebook.com/SolarWeekendNorway.

The week from 10th until 17th September will be filled with art, party and leisure for a maximum of 800 persons. The closing Sunday will offer a festival with multiple stages and a beach party with bands and DJs. For people who are already on the island, there are separate tickets for each day of the festival.
