How fun it must be to work at the design team of Target. Seems they’re having a ball over there. While they were finishing up their Mossimo Womens Kimono Maxi Dress and deciding on the names for the different color styles they decided to name the grey version; Dark Heather Grey. Now for the ‘Plus Size’ version of the same dress they felt it was very necessary as it was after all a ‘Plus Size’ to change name of the same grey version to Manatee Grey. What the hell is a Manatee? Well a Manatee is a large aquatic mammal that measures up to 13 feet (4.0 m) long and weighs up to 1.300 pounds (590 Kilos). And definitely could be considered a Plus-Size. What a reference. Someone of course tweeted about it, and Target responded the following: “We apologize for this unintentional oversight & never intend to offend our guests. We’ve heard you, and we’re working to fix it ASAP.” Yeah right.
