Ace Hotel London

Ace Hotel will open its fifth hotel this autumn in London and is on the lookout for employees. The chain already has four hotels spread across the United States – excluding nr. 6 scheduled for opening in downtown Los Angeles in autumn as well – and has now added the first European one to its line-up of original hotels, reflecting each specific location.

After transforming a halfway house in Seattle, a Howard Johnson in Palm Springs, Calif., and a turn-of-the-century S.R.O. in Manhattan into destination inns, hotelier Alex Calderwood has now set his sights on London’s Shoreditch to make his way into Europe.

NY Times Magazine was able to get a sneak peek into the hotel and reported that it will have a restaurant and bar from David Waddington and Pablo Flack who already run Bistrotheque in town (and according to Alex Calderwood, “Made Shoreditch what it is”). Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby (Universal Design Studio) have designed the facade and interiors. Guests will stay in rooms with “British-made Revo radios and Rega turntables”, while the lobby will serve coffee by London’s own Square Mile Coffee Roasters.

The hotel is scheduled to open in September and they are looking for people to fill the following vacancies:
