Richie Hawtin in New York’s Guggenheim Museum.
Electronic Music Pioneer Richie Hawtin (aka Plastikman) is set to perform at New York’s Guggenheim Museum on November 6, for the Guggenheim International Gala pre-party. This unique event will benefit the Guggenheim Foundation, helping the museum to support its many innovative educational, curatorial, and research programs and the exhibition of its unparalleled collections of modern and contemporary works of art. The event, which runs 9pm to midnight, is hosted by the Guggenheim’s Young Collectors Council and made possible by Dior.
This special show will also count with a musical performance from Matthew Hawtin, a visual artist, electronic DJ, and brother of Richie. The following evening, November 7, the museum will be hosting a gala dinner honoring artist James Turrell along with Christopher Wool.
