Dutch wallpaper company NLXL has won the 2nd ICFF Editors Award in New York. They have been granted the Best Wallcovering Award for their ‘Archives by Studio Job’ collection.

“”…these are bold, dramatic wallpapers that luxuriate in their flouting of Corbusier’s law. Far away from the cleanness of modernism, they are unashamedly ornamental, recalling the sumptuousness of their Art Deco forebears”

It’s the second time NLXL wins the ICFF Editors Award. In 2011 ‘Scrapwood Wallpaper’ by Piet Hein Eek received the award and marked the starting point of the very successful Dutch Wallpaper company.

NLXL Founder Rick Vintage: “For a small Dutch company to win the award twice is just outrageous. We basically try to make striking products and have a lot of fun. Winning this award emphasizes that putting fun first simply works. Off course all credit goes to Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel of Studio Job. This one is for their incredible talent!”
The ”Archives by Studio Job” collection is on display at ICFF and in all 6 windows of the Alexander McQueen presentation at Saks Fifth Avenue at 50th street in New York thru may 27.
