Vanessa Matic – You Got No Riot

IMG_4159

Here’s poet/hustler/renegade/witch/actress/light bearer/do’r Vanessa Matic with a brand new poem. Discover it after the break.

YOU GOT NO RIOT

Teenage wasted land living on toxic screens
Nerd in basement high rise for self esteem
Sexuality tumblr porno dream anime hentai
subtle like Japanese taboo on the knees
Serpent tongue in cheek crawling in submission
In joy of malicious violence in heat vibrance bleak
Pretend to defeat tangled up your pretty feet

The soul is far it feels no alarm
The screens show the skin
The flesh you see is a machine
I was in passion you were the heat
Burning the cells was the atoms of
electricity

You don’t believe I feel I’m not a woman
but a dream

In your eyes the fire is mean mine is serene
Calling a love song to be strong it’s not a love
song from the radio now

Because they forgot to feel

They’re voices no longer tragedy like
Jimmy or Division or Elliot from Sade to
Cult or Bauhaus or PJ to Rowland S.
Teenage Snuff Film

I think we silently slipped technology shift
Flesh on flesh waiting to touch a secret
they remembered to forget to know no regret
There is no secrets lips and legs parted like
minds without riots
